Christian Blea - Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Christian Blea is the Chief Executive Officer of Praxnor Group, where he leads the company’s mission to deliver licensing-ready safeguards, security, and regulatory strategy for advanced nuclear and high-consequence industries. He brings a career rooted in national security operations, most recently serving as the head of security operations at a Category I nuclear weapons facility, responsible for the safety and security of critical nuclear assets and hundreds of personnel. He has led protective security operations for senior U.S. government officials in high-threat environments and served as an Opposing Force (OPFOR) coordinator, planning and executing adversarial exercises against Category I nuclear facilities to rigorously test and validate their defensive posture.
Christian is a United States Marine Corps veteran. He holds a degree in Emergency Management and Homeland Security, complementing his operational experience with a strong foundation in risk, resilience, and crisis management. Drawing on this combined background, he specializes in translating real-world security demands into practical, regulator-ready programs, helping organizations integrate security by design from concept through execution.
Why I Started Praxnor Group
I didn’t start Praxnor Group because I saw an opportunity in the market.
I started it because I saw a gap that shouldn’t exist.
I’ve spent my career in environments where failure isn’t a line item - it’s a consequence. Where security isn’t theoretical, and where what you design, build, or overlook has real-world impact. From protecting national security assets to leading security operations at one of the most sensitive facilities in the country, I’ve seen what effective security looks like, and what happens when it’s treated as an afterthought.
Across the advanced nuclear space, one theme stood out.
Security and regulatory strategy were often sequenced after design, rather than integrated alongside it.
That sequencing can create avoidable friction, extend timelines, and introduce risk that is far more manageable when addressed earlier.
Praxnor Group was built to change that.
We exist to bring security into the conversation earlier, when it can still shape outcomes, not just react to them. To design safeguards and security programs that are not only compliant, but operationally sound, defensible, and built for the realities our clients will actually face.
This isn’t about checking boxes.
It’s about building systems that hold up when it matters.
